Photos of tree felling for Yarloop Timber Mill

Yarloop was destroyed by fire in early January, 2016. I lived there from 1950 to 1967 and took 35mm photos from 1961 to 1967.
Yarloop owed its existence to being a timber mill town. The Mill closed years ago but was operating while I lived there.

These photos were taken in the early 1960s.
For the photos of the tree felling I accompanied the tree fellers to work one day to get the photos of them in action.

The Jarrah forest to the east of Yarloop was where the tree fellers demonstrated their skill in felling the trees for the train to take to the mill where they were sawn up.
These photos were taken fifty years ago when I accompanied the fellers for a day. Unfortunately I have forgotten their names.
